What is a Demand Package and what goes into it?
A demand package is simply the part of your claim that discusses your expenses. You deserve to be compensated for your injuries, and that compensation can be for medical bills, time off work, permanent physical or mental disabilities, or anything else we feel should be made whole.
During your treatment, we are collecting, tracking, and preparing to present all medical records, treatment invoices, physical therapy progress, appointments, procedures, specialist visits, and more. We are also documenting other aspects of your recovery, such as missed days at your job or permanency (Maximum Medical Improvement).
Finally, we combine everything, work with you to estimate a compensatory figure, and account for any necessary additions. These can include compensation for pain & suffering, chronic discomfort or disfigurement, emotional distress, or other reasons. We then package the figure with all the documentation.
It is then finally presented to the insurance company or opposing parties as part of your claim. It is up to them at that point to either accept, deny, or make a counteroffer.
