Is my case finished after Trial?
Is my case over after Trial is over? What happens next? Will I have to come back to court?
A DECISION AT TRIAL IS A MAJOR MILESTONE, BUT THERE IS STILL WORK TO BE DONE AFTERWARD.
The most important next step is reviewing the result. If you won at trial, waiting to collect any money awarded can be a battle by itself, and you should be patient while your team works to secure the full amount of your compensation.
If it wasn’t what you expected, is it sometimes possible to make a request for the court to change its decision, called an appeal. If this is the right path for your situation, you may be returning to the courtroom at some point. Some cases finish without another appearance, while others require further proceedings.
THE END OF THE TRIAL DOES NOT ALWAYS MEAN THE END OF THE CASE.
