Choosing a Medical Provider

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH DOCTORS OFFICE TO GO TO?

If you or a loved one has been injured, it can be tough to know which medical provider to go to. Depending on where you are located, the answer changes. In fact, many things can change where you should seek treatment, including your specific medical needs, insurance requirements, and other barriers to receiving care. Speak with an Attorney about your unique situation today for more answers.

Sometimes, it’s easier for our Firm to cooperate with medical providers that we already know. For example, we may be able to transfer or access medical records more quickly or for little cost from certain clinics. Other times, we have received specific treatment recommendations based on medical examinations or other information. If these providers are in the insurance network, it may make sense to go with those options. Talk to your Lawyer and Doctor to determine where you should seek treatment. Ask your treating clinician about appropriate care, and confirm network status and coverage with your own healthcare plan.

If you have suffered an injury, you have the right to choose where you seek medical care, and recovering from your injury should be your utmost priority. At Ledyard Law, we will stand by your side and propel your case so that you can focus on recovering.

ALTHOUGH YOU MAY BEGIN FEELING MUCH BETTER, CONTINUE ATTENDING YOUR APPOINTMENTS.

Even if you stop benefitting from your treatment or therapy, it’s important that you continue to attend those appointments until you finish them. In order to paint a complete picture of your injury and its effects, we need formal legal and medical documentation to create a timeline as part of your Demand. The only way to do this is by going to your treatment appointments and making sure everything is documented.
