Do we have to accept their offer?

Do we have to accept the insurance company’s offer? What if it’s not what I expected?

NO, EVEN IF IT IS YOUR BEST OPTION.

If you have received a formal settlement offer, it may be a great thing, or it may be disappointing. In other cases, we already knew what to expect. Regardless, not every case ends with that offer. Your attorney will give you their advice, and at Ledyard Law, we are committed to doing everything in our power to procure the best results for our clients.

At the end of the day, the choice is yours. The case is yours. You get to decide which route to take, and you have the final word on Settlement. However, the same goes for the insurance company. If the two parties can’t reach a compromise, we need to begin considering our options. These options include attempting to continue Negotiations, accepting the Settlement offer, or moving to Litigation.
